Corona Virus Update
At Acorn Waste Management, it’s business as usual, however our primary concern is the health and safety of our employees suppliers and customers.
Following the Government’s recent announcements on the current COVID-19 outbreak, a potential risk has been brought to our attention by a number of suppliers, the collection of signatures from customers on receipt of deliveries and collections.
A simple solution going forward has been suggested.
Once a delivery or collection is completed, the driver would verbally confirm the details of the order with the site contact and ask for their confirmation. The driver would then record the site contact’s details on the waste transfer note and sign their name on their behalf. By keeping to this regime no contact with the driver or compliance documents by site personnel would occur, keeping everyone safe.
The waste transfer notes when received would be uploaded to our online environmental management system – vision for viewing or downloading and attached to the invoice as usual.
Our own drivers will follow this procedure but use “CV-19” as a reference for the future.
