Run Jamie Run
We are very proud of our Accounts Manager, Jamie Thorne, who will be running the London Marathon on 28th. April 2019 for a local Charity, Severn Hospice, this year. Here is a little bit more about Jamie’s story –
‘My fascination with the London Marathon started when I was at school. From a young age I was obsessed with running and loved the idea of being the fastest man in the world (which kid doesn’t ever dream of that?) When I was 16 I decided that one day I would enter the London Marathon and run just like the heroes of my childhood. Severn Hospice are a charity very close to my heart because of the way that they helped my family through a difficult time. My Grandma was diagnosed with bowel cancer when I was only 4 and it was terminal. In the end she sadly passed away but without the Severn Hospice I don’t think my family would have coped as well as they did. A charity like Severn Hospice need to be backed and supported in any way – it’s a great cause that we all can get behind. Any donations or mentions to your friends would be a great help to this fantastic charity.’
